Cool Petaluma is a nonprofit that inspires local climate action through community building.

By gathering people, we create a collaborative team spirit that makes it enjoyable to learn from each other and take action together.

This collective effort becomes more powerful than the sum of its individual parts.

What We Do:

Gather:

EVENTS for the community provide inspiration, education, and connection. Gathering is also the secret ingredient to our action plans. Working together is more effective and more fun!

Inspire:

TRAININGS support people to become BLOCK LEADERS who gather their neighbors and kickstart community climate action by making a fun, welcoming environment for people to get curious, explore ideas, and take action together in our five topic areas.

Take Action:

ACTION PLANS help people take individual and collective action within five key topics:

  1. Prepare for Emergencies - helping everyone be ready in a disaster

  2. Rethink Consumption - encouraging sustainable food and stuff

  3. Transform Transportation - creating safe and clean mobility

  4. Improve Buildings - making comfortable and efficient homes

  5. Restore Nature - healing our precious ecosystems

STORIES of both our challenges and successes educate and inspire even more people to get involved. By sharing ideas, experiences, and resources we build a network that is more powerful than any single individual.
